STEPHEN LEEDS - EXECUTIVE PRODUCER / CREATIVE DIRECTOR

Stephen founded Umbrella Street when he was tapped to create and produce what would become the first national television commercial for a mobil app-- the Dictionary.com iPhone app campaign. The spots sky-rocketed the app to #2 on Apple's downloads site, boosting downloads to over 70,000 a day and landing Dictionary.com on Apple's home page and their top 30 all-time app list. Stephen has since created, produced and directed dozens of web commercials and over fifty television spots, including the 2013 national TV campaign for Ask.com.

Stephen has also worked as a feature motion-picture screenwriter for various Hollywood studios and production companies. Past works include scripts for Disney, New Regency, Phoenix Pictures, Alcon Entertainment & Warner Bros Pictures.  He has been honored by the New York Film Society's New Films New Directors series at the Museum of Modern Art. He earned his B.A. in Literature and Writing from U.C.L.A. and an M.F.A. in film from Columbia University, where he graduated with top honors-- earning the Best Picture award for his comedy short, GET THAT NUMBER. He lives in Los Angeles with his wife and daughter; loves the Dodgers and Bruins; and worships the films of Billy Wilder. His goal is to run a marathon this year in Hawaii... or just lay on the beach there.
